For over forty years I have had the great pleasure of doing business with first Joel Kipp, and now with the rest of the staff at MPS! Great folks!

I have used Musicians Pro Shop since it opened with Joel Kipp. It always was and is in the forefront of music industry, has a great recording studio.

Staff are always helpful.

Great place with great prices and customer service is a priority here.

Musician's Pro Shop did a fantastic job fixing my guitar. The service is excellent, the staff is friendly, the price was amazing and my guitar plays like new again.

I have been in Iowa City for a long time and didn't know this business existed. Nice selection and great prices.

I went into the shop first to get guitar strings. The employee helped me pick out the right strings for my guitar and a good capo for it. I later went in for my bass guitar, and another employee helped me find good strings and a good cleaning solution. Very nice and helpful!

I absolutely love this shop! Quality instruments, and a really well curated selection of pedals and amplifiers for beginners and more experienced and discerning players. Staff is experienced, friendly and happy to let customers try gear without hovering or getting impatient. I make this a stop on my self-care Saturdays.

For a while I shifted my purchases of strings and other guitar gear online. Thought i was saving money...but in reality, perhaps just a buck or two. These guys prices are fair, the service is impeccable and it's a local shop that could rival the service of most shops in larger cities. I went in yesterday in search of some knobs for my amp. They we willing to show me what they had, discuss other options and didn't try to up-sell. Good service is so important...more important that saving a buck or two. If you're in the market for instruments, gear, live sound or lessons, this is the place to go.
